http://www.luke54.org/view/11/1313.html#axzz1yEi4A6Ro

Remember:

So,
如果神答應了你的禱告,祂是在增加你的信心;
如果神延遲了你的禱告,那麼祂增加了你的忍耐;

IQ, EQ & AQ

I want to share the article below again with you because I have witnessed too many persons (both young and old) are having problems with their EQ and AQ.  Persons with low EQ and AQ cannot function properly.
When the Spirit is taking the lead in our spirit, all faculties in the soul will be headed up and in good order.  The mind is becoming renewed and sober; the emotion is becoming balanced and proper; and the will is becoming subdued and obedient. http://www.hymnal.net/hymn.php/nt/521.

IQ – Intelligence Quotient
IQ refers to a person’s cognitive abilities, such as language and problem solving skills. This type of intelligence is generally associated with academic achievement. Generally it is believed that children are born with a finite intellectual capacity that varies from child to child. However environmental factors (such as a safe, stimulating environment for the child to explore, and exposure to new experiences and learning opportunities) are important in helping each child develop their intellectual potential.

EQ – Emotional intelligence Quotient
EQ or ‘emotional intelligence’ relates to a person’s social competence and is also seen as a key determinant of success in life. Emotional intelligence involves being able to respond appropriately to the emotions of others (interpersonal skills) and also being aware of our own emotions and using them to guide our own behavior (intrapersonal skills). Children should be taught about all emotions – not just about the emotions that make us feel good but also about the emotions we sometimes experience that don’t make us feel so good. Importantly, children can also learn from their parents’ example about how to deal appropriately with difficult emotions and also how we can be sensitive and empathic toward others.

AQ – Adversity Quotient
AQ or ‘adversity quotient’ refers to a person’s resilience, their ability to bounce back after a setback and motivation to achieve their goals. This is also a very important in determining success, as most people will encounter setbacks in life, but everyone will deal with these hardships in different ways. Again, parents act as important role models for children and can lead by example.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVokSmedOQU

1.
我是小花一朵,敞開我臉;
不知如何往前,就是這樣;
2.
地上並無一物使我羨慕;
3.
若當我信靠神,我卻蒙羞;
若當與神同行,失去自由;
4.
看你煩惱終日,愁衣憂食;
常常昧著良心,只為淘金;
5.
你雖知道許多,失敗如故;
你雖長篇大道,不肯喊主;
7.
我長進得不錯,別打攪我;
你若滿腹牢騷,請勿嫁禍;
8.
請勿以你掛慮,擾我清興;
請勿以你苦情,強迫我聽;
只是百合不慣悶悶不樂;

I'm just a little flower
With open face;
I'm fully turned to God,
Receiving grace.
I don't know how to try—
This is my case—
I'm just a lily trusting God.

Enjoy this song and see if you can find all the supporting verses:

4 bad habits (四個不)

May the Lord preserve your whole being - spirit, soul and body. (where is this verse?)

Subject: 4 habits that are making you sick (really sick!)

1. What happens when I only sleep five hours?
Sleep too little, and there's a good chance you'll be soon overeating. Too little sleep also makes your body less sensitive to insulin.

Research shows that sleeping too little shuts down production of certain chemicals in the immune system that defend your body against germs. A 2009 study found that people who sleep less than seven hours a night are up to three times more likely to develop a cold.

Other studies show that even modest sleep deprivation - cutting back from your usual eight hours a night to six hours, for instance - can turn up levels of chronic inflammation, which increases the risk for many conditions, including heart attacks, strokes, and osteoporosis.

Studies show that well-rested people learn new information faster and have sharper memories. Short sleep reduces your reaction time, too, making you at risk for car accidents and other mishaps.

2. What happens when I skip breakfast?
If you don't eat breakfast and head out the door with low blood sugar, one organ in particular won't be operating at full speed: your brain, which requires a steady flow of blood sugar to run effectively.

Most people more than compensate for the calories they miss at breakfast by overeating at lunch and dinner - especially foods high in saturated fat, the kind that plugs arteries.

Eat breakfast regularly and you'll not only lose weight, but your blood sugar should shape up, too.

3. What happens when I spend the day sitting around?
Over time, a sit-around lifestyle encourages two major problems:

* Your body converts some unused sugar to fat. Research shows that fat cells around the waistline produce chemicals that cause insulin resistance and low-grade inflammation, which promotes heart disease and other conditions.

* Having lots of glucose lingering in the blood increases levels of dangerous compounds called AGEs that damage nerves and blood cells. That's why high blood sugar causes diabetes complications such as blindness and kidney disease.

4. What happens when I spend the day really angry?
Anger is a form of emotional stress, which causes your body to release adrenaline and other related hormones.

A recent Yale study found that people who tend to let their anger stew also have high levels of a substance called endothelin, which is known to trigger heart attacks by causing plaques in the arteries to burst open and form blood clots.

Day-long anger can be toxic, so find a way to let it go.

Q & A

(Q1) Are you Abram or Abraham?
Abram tried to carry out God's promise with his natural strength.  The result? Ishmael! (Genesis 16)  Abraham's allowing God's divine life to flow through him issued in Isaac. (Genesis 17)  Are you Abram or Abraham?

Human effort in flesh issues in wood, grass, and stubble; Divine enjoyment in spirit issues in gold, silver and precious stones. (1 Corinthians 3:12 )

(Q2) The Lord is life-giving, comforting and God's-will-seeking; are we? Because we are His duplication (John 12:24), every normal Christian should be a life-giver (1 John 5:16), a comforter (1 Corinthians 1:14), and a seeker of God's will (Ephesians 5:17).

(Q3) Christ is a Lion-Lamb.  To God and God's will, He is tender and obedient, like a lamb (Act 8:32). To the power of darkness and death, He is firm and victorious, like a lion (Revelation 5:5). How about us?

Christ is balanced in every way. We are not: when we are meek, we tend to be weak; when we are strong, we tend to be stubborn. Humble ones have no actions; capable ones are not humble.  Oh, He must increase but we must decrease. (John 3:30)

(Q4) Christ is a Serpent-Dove.  This is His speaking in Matthew10:16, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be therefore prudent as serpents and guileless as doves." Are we pure and prudent? Guileless ones are often lacking prudence and discernment (Hosea 7:11).  Though normal Christians are single-purposed doves, we need to be prudent to stay away from wolves.

(Q5) Have you learned the lesson of retreating into God as your refuge?  Have you learned the lesson of not reacting to situations?  Have you learned the lesson of enjoying Christ in midst of frustrations and failures? (Psalm 23:5)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xu2xVQPpdY
http://www.hymnal.net/hymn.php/ns/287

You have been wronged.  You have been misunderstood.  You feel bad and have a lot to say.  At this juncture, can you hold your tongue?  Can you quietly release your feelings to the Lord?  Can you calmly bring your reasoning to Him?  Let storms blow and roar, but let's be kept in Him.

(Q6) Do you desire to be part of the group of overcomers - the Man-Child in Revelation 12:5?Overcomers are NOT spiritual giants; they are normal Christians with a little power (Revelation 3:8).  From the perspective of expressing Christ in oneness, they are full-grown man (Ephesians 4:13).  From the perspective of enjoying Christ as life, they are totally depending upon God like a child (Psalm 8:2, Matthew 18:3, 1 Peter 2:2).

Don't be a child when it comes to the matter of God's building (Ephesians 4:14, Hebrews 5:13).  Don't become independent of God.

(Q7) Is your speaking grace-giving (or are you nagging)?
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, according to the need, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29). Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt... (Colossians 4:6)

For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. (Where is this verse?) Our speaking expresses the condition of our heart.  To deal with our speaking, we have to let the Lord deal with our hearts.  When my heart is circumcised (cut off) and filled with grace, spontaneously I would overflow grace in my speaking.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf8TOR1lYd0
http://www.hymnal.net/hymn.php/nt/643

(Q8) Are you keeping your room neat and tidy?  Do you sleep / eat / exercise / study regularly?  God is a God of order, regularity and diligence, but are you expressing this aspect of God in your daily living (Ecclesiastes 3:11, Luke 9:14-17, etc.)

 As we deny who we are and open ourselves to the Lord helplessly and hopelessly, confessing we are messy and lazy, God's life would come in to shine, supply and regulate.  It is in this way, we are becoming His duplicate in our daily living, expressing who He is through little things.

(Q9) Jesus, the King of kings, was riding on a donkey (Matthew 21:5).  If you were a king, would you choose to ride on a donkey?
Though Jesus is kingly, He is lowly.  To be as kingly as He is, we have to be made as lowly as He is.  When I am proud, demanding, insisting and dominating, I am not a reflection of this King on a donkey.
http://www.hymnal.net/hymn.php/h/1068

(Q10) You are a thornbush all right (Genesis 3:18 ), me too.  We all are cursed due to Adam's fall.  But are you a shining thornbush? (Exodus 3:2-3)

Instead of hurting people all around us, we ought to shine like luminaries, holding forth the word of life (Philippians 2:15-16).
